Project Manager (Young People & Creative Technology), Knowle West Media Centre (KWMC)

Clara is the Project Manager (Young People and Creative Technology) and works within the Jump Studios team at KWMC.

Clara works across the young people’s programme, delivering sessions in schools and at KWMC The Factory for Maker City, which is a STEAM programme aimed at young people who are interested in learning about digital making, creative technologies, and social action.

Maker City provides an opportunity to experiment with a range of digital manufacturing technologies, creative problem-solving, and coming up with innovative ways to design with a social purpose.

Clara is passionate about young people fulfilling their potential within the arts and gaining access to opportunities in STEAM and the creative industries. Clara is a KWMC arts award adviser and supports the young people who attend JUMP programmes to achieve their arts award qualification.

Clara is co-hosting a session with Martha King and Fiona Dowling that showcases a range of KWMC’s projects including Forms of Intelligence, Maker CityKWMC: The Factory, and We Can Make.

Through tangible examples and some quick-fire creative exercises, delegates will gain an insight into how an arts and co-design approach can help create responsible tech.
